10 Would Be Awesome!!!

Well, I am happy to say that a 10th planet was discovered for our solar system... Well maybe. According to this article at MSNBC News a round object 1 1/2 times the size of Pluto has been discovered orbiting the Sun way way way out there in the vastness of space. However, it seems that there is a lot of debate about whether or not we can call it a planet. The definition of the word planet is now also in debate. In fact if one of the sides of the "What is a planet" debate wins, then Pluto itself may lose it planetary recognition.

I am really excited to see the outcome of this, as a new planet means a new planet name. Keeping with previous naming conventions (being that of Roman gods) I am hoping for "Prosepine" the Roman goddess of the Underworld. I think the Pluto would like to hang out with his wife. Don't you?

I usually do not get so disturbed by things like this that I have to write my feelings down, however, I am feeling pretty annoyed today, and so here goes.

Sweet mother of Jesus. Has it really come to this? According to the Associated Press, Video Games are under further scrutiny about their content. The Article, "Game's rating change a sign of things to come?" suggests that Retailers will stop selling games because they have adult content based on Political Pressure. The dreaded FTC is even threatened to be called in.

I am just amazed that people feel they need to censor things on our behalf. Furthermore, it is a freaking Video Game. Good chin hair of Buddha, I think people in general have too much free time on their hands.

A Great Day This Is...

I almost got out of my seat at training today and did a little Happy Dance. :)

According to my NHL alerts, the NHLPA and the NHL have finally agreed on whatever it was they were arguing about. Here is the email I got:

Dear NHL Fan,

The National Hockey League and the National Hockey League
Players' Association have reached an agreement in principle
on the terms of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Details of the new Agreement will not be made available
publicly pending the formal ratification process by the
NHLPA Members and the NHL Board of Governors.

It is anticipated that the ratification process will be
completed next week, at which time the parties will be prepared
to discuss the details of the Agreement and plans for next season.

So Different Than My Last Trip...

This place rocks!!!

My last business trip sucked so bad, but already this one rocks. The hotel (which clearly defines the trip) is so great.

Sorry I Killed You, But...

Okay, so I got a membership for Xbox Live yesterday, and I must say, "This is really awesome." It is very interesting playing against other people in other places. The game of choice was Halo 2 where I proved to the world just how terrible of a gamer I am. Oh well, I am not going to be a professional or anything. I have included below some fun experiences I had, taken from an email exchanged with my friend Mark:

To understand the funny here it is important that you know my Halo name was CrimsonPhoenix:
There was this one round where I got like 5 kills (which I was impressed by) but two of them happened at the same time. I was on a ledge and saw a Halo dude gunning down another Halo dude. I jumped down and killed them both. It was awesome. Then over the speakers, and in the most whinniest voice you can imagine, I heard, "Awww Crimson, why did you have to go and do that." I started rolling on the floor.

Then I started playing the Team Matches (which are pretty fun, when the other players are willing to have rookies on their team) So I was on a team of 4, and the object is to grab this bomb and then plant it in the other teams base. Well I don't have a headset, so the rest of my team was having difficulties communicating with me. The Leader (I guess) finally walked his Arbitor dude up to me and said,"Go get the Rockets." As I did not know he was speaking to me, he had his Arbitor face me then said, "You, you right next to me, go get the rockets." And then I swore the Arbitor pointed in the direction he wanted me to go. It was pretty freaky.

The finally funny was when I ended up on a team of three with these two little punks that were obviously in a clan together. They must have been like 8 or something. So we start out, and I grab this sniper rifle. Bad move, as my jealous teammate killed me to get the rifle. I was pissed. Then they started talking to me. They were ripping on me saying things like, "we don't want you here, you suck." How they new I sucked was in question since I had only just joined. Oh well. After a little bit of me taking on the other team by myself, I decided it would be more fun to kill the two puck ass kids instead, since they were of no help. However, this proved to be a little more difficult than I first imagined. They were slippery little suckers. They started laughing at me because I could not even shoot them they moved so fast. Finally in true Jason style, I cold cocked both them repeatedly until they died. Their laughing stopped, however, the end of the round came soon after. So somewhere out there are Two Little punks that will now piss in their pants at the sight of me.

West Gym Story!!!

As some of you may or may not know, the gym that I joined is expensive. It is a 24hr Fitness - SUPER SPORT club. With the extra money (okay way too much money) I pay comes certain benefits: less people, better equipment, towel service, nice locker rooms, a clientele that shares my dedication to their working out, basically a great workout experience. The 24 Fitness is locate on N Brand Blvd just south of the Freeway.

Four blocks further south lay a normal $9.99 24hr Fitness club. Now with the cheaper dues comes, well, cheaper people. A whole lot more of them too.

Due to the construction in the Glendale area the normal club will be shutting down for the next 2 months, and you guessed it... They will be sending their members up the street to the Super Super Hyped Out Monkey Force Go Super Sport Club. Now I like to share and everything, but it was ridiculous last night. There were at least 9 times as many people as there normally would be. It took me 30 minutes to get onto a Carido Machine (usually just walk on) my weight lifting took at least 2 1/2 times longer since I was waiting for every machine, and it took me 40 minutes just to get out of the parking garage afterwards. But since I am learning patience I can deal.

The fun part was that the club has decided only to provide towels for the Super Sport paying members. Now most of us bring a towel from home anyway, however, last night paying members were wearing their white (club issued) towels like they gang colors. They would move around the gym like they owned the place. I swear I could here the song "When Your a Jet" playing in the background. (If you do not get this reference, go rent "West Side Story", watch it, and then slap yourself for never have seen it.)

Needless to say the next 2 months at the gym are going to be very interesting.

My Girlfriends Always Win American Idol.

That's right, just like my ex, Kelly Clarkson, my new girlfriend, Carrie Underwood, walked away with the honors for this season's American Idol. After a very close race, she was able to pull it out in the final song. I do tip my hat to Bo, as he is an amazing singer, however, my love for Carrie will never falter...

until the next cute blonde with a great voice on American Idol. :)

I interviewed for a company called The Children's Place.

Watched Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Totally kicked ass.

Got job at The Children's Place.

Currently marooned in New Jersey for training. (It really kind of sucks out here!)

Watched Season finales of 24 and LOST. Both kicked Ass.

On Monday, May 2nd in the year 2005, John Mason has officially joined an elite club whose only membership requirements are that one does something incredibly for a member of the opposite sex.

To summarize: Instead of walking down the aisle, his soon to be wife decided an impromptu trip to Texas. Upon reaching Texas, she decided that it had been a while since she experienced the greatness of Las Vegas. So she got an Elvis impersonator to buy her a bus ticket to Sin City. Somewhere in Albuquerque she realized that there were 600 guests waiting to view her nuptials, however, figured that they might understand her absence if she had been kidnapped. Not understanding that the police take such things seriously, she was found.

In the end of this tale there is a semi-happy conclusion. Well, sort of. John decided that everyone deserves a trip to Vegas, and that testing the police's ability to find a missing person was a good use of the Tax Payer's money. He has assured us all that he has every intention to still marry her.

Now I don't pretend to be an expert on women, I really don't. However, I am pretty sure there are some red flags there dude.

A Great Run... Had To Close Out Sometime.

I am very sad to see my girl Stephenie LaGrossa get the boot this last Thursday night on Survivor. She was my favorite of this season for multiple reasons. Stephenie was very athletic, very nice, and a pretty good player for the most part. Although her decision making process was often flawed, she usually ended up making good choices.

Stephenie survived all 8 of Ulong's Tribal councils, and then went on to survive two additional Tribal Councils, even in the face of overpowering numbers. She kept a great attitude though it all, and showed her character.

Now that she is gone, the Koro folk can now begin the plotting and strategizing as they now must turn on each other to claim the coveted $1 Million. I am now shifting my support to Tom, as I think he is a very good player too. Not a very good drunk, nor good with speeches, however, he is pretty strong and seems to have the loyalty of the tribe.

Lay It Down!!

This Last Thursday on Survivor, Janu Tornell, became the Second "Survivor" to lay down their torch. (Not including the contestants that quit the All-Stars show) A huge display of emotion by my girl Stephenie may have pushed the 39 year Show Girl over the edge. If not for this act, there was a 98.2% chance that Stephenie would have been the one to get her walking papers.

Props to Tom for winning his second Immunity Challenge in a row. You know its funny, Tom and the gang were aiming for Stephenie because of the threat she presents; maybe someone who has won two immunities in a row presents more of a threat? Something for the rest to think about.

I just found out today that sometime soon (a couple of months maybe) my apartment building will be finally switching there cable provider from Adelphia to Charter Communications.

"Why is this good news?" you ask.

Well in light of all the great things that I currently enjoy about my apartment, the one (and probably only one) thing that was a bummer was the Cable Provider. Not only was it sucky ass Adelphia, but it was also only offered in Analog. Now this is not so bad however it does bring with it some terrible side effects. The biggest being the quality. Now, however, I will be able to once again take advantage of all of the great things that Digital Cable has to offer.

Oh yeah, and on a side note:
I will also be able to ditch my lame butt Verizon DSL (which connected last night at a whopping 131Kbps according to my friends at Toast.net. So now once again, I will be able to surf the internet as God intended. No hassles, no fast then slow then medium speeds. No more losing my iTunes downloads midstream because iTunes believes I have disconnected from the Internet. ( oh yeah that has happened more than once ) 3Mbps Guaranteed. I love it. I cannot wait.

We Have White Smoke! And Bells!!!

I would like to congratulate Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany on becoming the new Pope. I am not personally Catholic, however, having a religious background, I have learned the benefit of faith. (when it is present) White smoke rose from the Sistine Chapel chimney and bells rang Tuesday, signaling the selection of a new pope.

Donning the name "Pope Benedict XVI", his first blessing to his people:

"Dear brothers and sisters, the great pope, John Paul II, the cardinals have elected me to work in the vineyard of the Lord," [cont...] "I am consoled by the fact that I entrust myself to your prayers."

Some Tax Day Humor

Well today is Tax day. Not really a biggie as I eFiled my taxes a couple weeks ago. However, I came across some Tax humor that I thought I would share courtesy of TaxGaGa.com:

The local bar was so sure that its bartender was the strongest man around that they offered a standing $1000 bet. The bartender would squeeze a lemon until all the juice ran into a glass, and hand the lemon to a patron. Anyone who could squeeze one more drop of juice out would win the money.

Many people had tried over time (weightlifters, longshoremen, etc.) but nobody could do it. One day this scrawny little man came into the bar, wearing thick glasses and a polyester suit, and said in a tiny squeaky voice "I'd like to try the bet." After the laughter had died down, the bartender said OK, grabbed a lemon, and squeezed away. Then he handed the wrinkled remains of the rind to the little man.

But the crowd's laughter turned to total silence as the man clenched his fist around the lemon and six drops fell into the glass. As the crowd cheered, the bartender paid the $1000, and asked the little man, "What do you do for a living? Are you a lumberjack, a weightlifter, what?"

The man replied, "I'm an IRS Agent."

Shut Up, Coby!!!

I did not like Coby Archa from the beginning. He is so annoying. Last night when he got the boot, he kept talking as if it was a compliment. Get over yourself, Coby, no one likes you. You whine like a baby and complain and try to play the "No one Likes me card" way to much. I would not take it as a compliment if I were the 2nd person voted out of my tribe. Not to mention my girl Stephenie would have been the easy target, and the rest of Koro chose to get rid of you instead.

Stephenie kicked some major ass again, as one of the last people to remain standing on the post during the immunity challenge. Okay, so she jumped off for Pizza, can't say I blame here. Well I guess I can. She really should not have jumped off, but oh well she is safe for a little while.

Meanwhile, Janu is starting to wear on me, so is Ian a little in a comedic way. If I had to pick Final Four right now it would be Tom, Ian, Stephenie, & Katie. I think Gregg & Jennifer are going to find themselves floating home because of a fear of a Rob & Amber return. The others will destroy themselves.

I have to blog about this game!!! It is the greatest game in the world

It is like they sat down for three years wondering what kind of game would be perfect for me. They combined all the great elements that are found in platform games, puzzle solving games, and combat game. Then, just to make it awesome, they threw it totally bloody and brutal violence. The game is accented with a kick ass back story that keeps you involved and wanting to play more.

I Have Made Fire!!!

Well, my girl Stephenie did it. She is the Sole Survivor, of the Ulong tribe that is.

Bobby Jon Drinkard was the latest and final person from the Ulong tribe to be ousted. Koror completely annihilated the Immunity Challenges forcing Stephenie and Bobby Jon to face off against each other at tribal council. "Two men enter, One man leaves" was the motif of the evening. Stephenie and Bobby Jon needed only to make fire first to survive. Stephenie’s torch was lit, and then Bobby Jon’s torch was extinguished. Of course my torch still burns bright for Stephenie.

Stephenie in true form came through (physically that is) in the clutch, and won her individual immunity. Of course now she is all alone, and about the merge with 9 Koror folk. There is a chance she can hang back while they pick each other off, but not much of one. I am still pulling for you girl.

Other highlights include Tom not letting the girls of Koror take showers after they won the reward challenge. A couple things here: 1) Let them take the darn showers, 2) Your going to look really dumb, Tom, if you merge next week and get assigned to a completely different camp and are not allowed to take any thing with you. This may come back to haunt you.

I was reading the Finance section in Yahoo today, as I normally do and I came across this ground breaking article concerning a 15yr Mortgage v.s. a 30yr Mortgage when purchasing a House.

As I clicked on the link, I thought I was going to learn something great, however, to my disappointment this was the lamest article I have ever read. Did they even try to offer up some intelligence. I think not.

A lesson In Math...

33 year old James Miller got the perviable boot last night, after the Ulong tribe was sent to its fifth Tribal Council in a row. These kids are really taking a pounding. Furthermore last nights festivities ended up in a Tie between Ibrehem Rahmen and James.

Now for all you Math Majors out there... When Bobby John mentioned to Stephani that he was going to vote for James, this instantly creates a scenario of either a Tie taking place, or James taking the long walk into the darkness. Needless to say, I am a little disappointed in Stephani. By creating a Tie, she has now shown her hand to Bobby John that their alliance is not that strong. In this scenario, the correct move after hearing that James was going to get one vote, was to just vote James off. Oh well it is not like there is much future for my girl, but I holding on to hope at this moment. When Hope goes, despair arrives.

My God...

I have fallen in love with an Idol again. Ever since Kelly Clarkson and I broke up, I have been searching for that new Idol to fill my life, and I have found her. Carrie Underwood from Checotah, OK has a fantastic voice and is amazing looking. Tonight she covered Heart's "Alone" and absolutely nailed it. I am hoping the best for her, and I will now need to watch the rest of American Idol to see her win.

24... The After School Special

Last night's 24 was really cool. Lots of twists and turns. As well as the Return of Chloe.

But the best part, in my opinion, was the great moral lesson we learn about cheating on ones wife.

An Airforce Pilot is in a hotel room with his girlfriend. His wife calls his cell phone to tell him that masked gunmen have her and their children hostage. The girlfriend, who is in on the plot, pulls out a gun.

A Little Early for Four.

Ulong, you guys suck (except for Stephani, of course) I mean come on.
Last night on Survivor this season's twist landed both tribes at tribal council, which is interesting when you think about it. The second twist was that the winner of the reward challenge got to grant immunity to one of the losers, I mean Ulongs. Although Ibrehem Rahman was on the chopping block for his incredibly poor performance in the reward challenge, Koro sought to give him immunity there by screwing up any plans Ulong had. Ulong then had to vote, basically without conferring with each other ( a first since the original Survivor) and ended up in a tie between Bobby Jon and Angie. In the end it was Angie that got the boot. Ulong is now down to 4; elimination for elimination, this is the greatest pouncing ever seen in Survivor.

57 year old Willard Smith got the first cut from the Koro axe because he was found to be, well just plan boring.

I don't really know how my girl Stephani is get through this unscathed, however, I have faith that she will prevail.

What!?

I got to see the Star Wars Episode III full Trailer when I saw "Robots" Friday night. I must say, as cool as "Robots" was, it was very hard to focus on the movie. My mind kept racing back and forth with the images I saw pertaining to the final Star Wars chapter that will be released this May.

I have been waiting literally my whole life to see this movie. Finding out the answers to amazing decent, seeing the Conclusion of the Clone Wars, Watching best friends annihilate each other, in my mind I feel that it is going to be very hard for Lucas to mess this one up. The trailer shows this, and more. This movie will be awesome...

Thanks to our good friends at Screenrant I have been able to watch it over and over and over and then a couple more times.

Correction: Only Three More Cold Nights.

After losing their fourth straight immunity Challenge, the blue menace from Ulong sent Kim Mullen packing last night. It seems the entire tribe agreed that she was the weakest link. Looks like she did not have to wait long to be reunited with her bed buddy Jeff.

My girl Stephenie is still kicking ass and taking names. Although she is on Ulong, she remains an extreme physical presence in the game. Again, her and Jennifer of Koro got to square off in the Challenge, and Jennifer's swimsuit was handed to her both times. I love this girl.

On the other hand, there is a woman on Koro named Caryn, who reminds me so much of my father's second wife. I swear to god, this woman is so negative. When things are going bad she is negative. When they win the reward challenge, she is negative. I am willing to put good money on the line and say that even if she wins the game, she will find something to complain about. She has got to go.

James from Ulong is starting to get on my nerves. His outdated views on women really annoys me. I mean really, how do you live in 2005 and still believe women are weak. More to the point, how do you bask in the greatness that is Stephenie and believe that women lack something. I hope there are further embarrassing moments in store for our good-ole red-neck James.

Oh yeah, can someone please tell Angie that they won the reward challenge that allowed them to make clothes. I am having nightmares in which that dental floss g-string she wears just snaps. If that happens, I don't think I will be able to look at women again. Please, Angie, save me from this awful fate.

My only disappointment is that the poster is leading me to believe that Anakin will not get his Red Lightsaber until after he becomes Darth Vader. It is just a character point for me. Becoming Darth Vader and then selecting the Sith's weapon is not as much of a betrayal as squaring off with Obi-Wan having already chosen the Sith life. Also, the justification for Obi-Wan to fight his best friend may be diminished without the tangible evidence. Just my opinion.

Interested In Watching Movies Backwards.

So, my friend and co-worker bought me the Christopher Nolan directed movie "Memento" and I finally got around to watching it last night. I must say that this is a truly amazing film. To Christopher's credit the Directing was awesome. Without giving anything away, I can say that the "style" in which the story is told makes the Mystery so much more appealing. Also, the protagonist in the story has a "condition" and through the storytelling, I almost felt that I had the "condition" as well. It is hard to explain, however, It was great. I am going to have to watch it a couple more times to get everything, and I highly recommend this movie.

Also I am excited because it looks like Christopher Nolan is directing the new "Batman Begins" movie which looks great too.

A Little Colder at Night.

21 year old Jeff Wilson was voted off Survivor this last Thursday night, leaving 25 year old Kim Mullen without a bed partner. Looks like there will be some cold nights ahead of her. Jeff rolled his ankle while walking in the night, and therefore was pointless in the challenge. He then instructed the rest of the tribe to vote him off after they lost the immunity challenge. I don't really know about that call. There may be something to convincing the others to bring him along with them, because he would not be a physical threat. Oh well, until I am there I will not know.

Other highlights: Mad props to Tom for kicking so much butt in the challenge. My girl Stephenie showed up so many of the men. She is one tough woman.

Koro is still pounding on Ulong, but I feel the winds changing next week, so we will see.

My interviews are over; thank God.

Really this process was not as painful as it could have been, and I am sure I learned something through it all, however, I can't put my finger what that may be just yet. I am fairly confident that I nailed it, but, you never know until they let you know. We are kind of under the assumption that it will take the "powers that be" a couple weeks to decide, maybe more.

Me and the other candidate are joking that we should have the panel interview us together "Final 2 Survivor" style, and then vote. We could film it all and have a laugh.

Please God! I don't ask for much, but this would be very nice.

About Ties...

Today I am wearing a Tie. Hmm. Don't really know what to think of all this. I am amazed at how many people find it necessary to point out that I am wearing a Tie. I mean really, I put it on this morning, so I am pretty sure I am aware of what is hanging around my neck.

I am interviewing for a new job today, and already things are going sh*tty. First of all the person that I am wearing the Tie for re-scheduled for tomorrow. So now I need to go get another shirt, and I have to wear a Tie again tomorrow. This sucks for two reasons. 1) Did I mention that I am not used to wearing ties. 2) I have to endure another whole day of, "Look at the Tie. Oh my gosh your wearing a Tie. What are you doing today?"

To the last question there, again I am amazed at how many people are asking me that. I mean really, you know what I am doing. Either I am interviewing, or I just like sadomasacism so much, that I thought I would bring it to the work force! Idiots...

Less Sleep, more Survivor

Ashlee Ashby, age 22, was voted off of Survivor 10 last night and I must say, "I am not losing any sleep over this." Although she did attempt to play the game, her goodie goodie attitude kept her back. She completely gave up and did not even take normal survival steps, like eating and drinking water, to even have a chance of staying in the game. My girl Stephenie had a brief notion to try to keep her four person alliance (which included Ashlee) together, hover, in the end the right decision was made, and a 6-2 vote was cast against her.

Don't know if these Ulong kids can get it together...

Now... I just want to start by saying that I am totally in love with this car:
